Dr. Crutchfield received his Ph.D. in Special Education from the University of Kansas. After completing his Ph.D., he was awarded an Institute of Educational Sciences (IES) Postdoctoral Fellowship at Juniper Gardens Children’s Project.
Research Interests
Dr. Crutchfield is interested in examining self-management scaffolds for students with autism and intellectual disabilities and specifically how emerging technology can be leveraged to support access to self-management for these learners. Recently, Dr. Crutchfield, in partnership with the Attainment Company, IES, and colleagues at Cal Poly developed a novel iOS application called GoManage to support self-management for learners with disabilities.
