Role
Brittany serves as a Credential Analyst and Advisor for the School of Education credential programs. Her role operates as a bridge between the CA Commission on Teacher Credentialing's (CTC) state-wide requirements and the teacher candidates completing the programs. Brittany also advises incoming candidates who wish to become educators and enroll in a Cal Poly credential program. Brittany enjoys the broad range of credentialing functions that this position entails, including reviewing, analyzing, evaluating, and processing applications for public school teaching credentials, certificates, and permits. Since joining her role as Credential Analyst, Brittany has worked diligently to streamline operations and find the most efficient ways to complete credentialing tasks.
Background
Prior to joining the School of Education, Brittany served as the Advancement Coordinator for Cal Poly Arts working with donors and assisting with social media and communications. This was her first on-campus role upon her arrival to California in 2017. She worked as a Social Media, Events, and Tasting Room Manager at a winery in Iowa before relocating. Yes, a winery in Iowa. ;) She has a breadth of varied experience that is ideal for the Credential Analyst role including extensive customer service experience, task management skills, and data tracking.
Brittany received her B.A. from Iowa State University majoring in Anthropology with minors in Environmental Studies and Women's Studies. She is currently completing an M.A. in Equity and Social Justice Education at San Francisco State University.
