Module 6: Supporting Emergent Bilingual Students

The focus of Module 6 is on how teachers can implement effective practices for emergent bilingual students. This module aligns with Section A ‘Planning and Preparation’ and Section C ‘Instruction’ specifically prioritized skills A5 & C5 ‘Supporting Emergent Bilinguals on the SOE Observation Tool. Module content centers around one specific goal;

  • Teacher ability to identify and explain what makes for effective practices that support emergent bilingual students
