Module 3: Managing Student Behavior

The focus of Module 3 is on how to create a productive, supportive environment in which student behavior is proactively managed and student misbehavior does not interfere with learning. This module aligns with section B ‘Classroom Environment’ and prioritized skill B3 ‘Managing Classroom Behavior’ on the SOE Observation Tool. Module content centers around effective management of student behavior by identifying strategies for teachers to;

  • Provide clear guidelines and expectations for student behavior 
  • Consistently monitor and respond respectfully to student misbehavior
