Module 4: Using Assessment in Instruction

The focus of Module 4 is on how to implement effective assessment practices in order to determine student learning and make data-driven decisions. This module aligns with section C ‘Instruction’ and prioritized skill C4 ‘Using Assessment in Instruction’ on the SOE Observation Tool. Module content centers around the following two goals for teachers;

  • Ability to identify and explain what makes for effective assessment practices during instruction
  • Ability to ensure that students are actively reflecting on their learning
